Pennsylvania Institute of Technology Announces Partnership with the Delaware County Technical High Schools a department of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit

Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (PIT) has teamed up with Delaware County Technical High Schools (DCTS) a department of the Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU) to create a transfer agreement that will allow eligible high school students to transfer credits earned at DCTS to PIT for college credit.    Former students of DCTS can have their high school transcripts evaluated now for classes starting October 9th

This agreement supports students who attend DCTS, and wish to continue learning and earn a degree in their area of interest.   PIT is granting up to 18 credits to qualified DCTS students.  Students benefit by getting a jump start in college by receiving transfer credit saving the student time and money.   P.I.T.’s Vice President, Jack Bacon, remarks “This outstanding new partnership takes advantage of the advanced technical skills DCTS teaches at the high school level and provides participants the opportunity to graduate from P.I.T. sooner and to earn significant savings over our already affordable tuition.”

The Pennsylvania Institute of Technology, in Media, Pa, is a Middle-States accredited, private, non-profit, two-year college offering associate degrees in healthcare, business, computer science, engineering, behavioral health, criminal justice, practical nursing, and physical therapy assistant.  PIT is a smaller, more personal alternative to community college for transfer students and students who are pursuing a specialized certificate program.  PIT has strong transfer agreements with larger universities in the area that allow students to transfer smoothly into a bachelor degree program.

For enrollment information, please contact Matt Meyers, Director of Admissions, at mmeyers@pit.edu.  If you would like more information regarding this agreement, or would like your business to partner with PIT, please contact Cheryl Spera, Academic & Corporate Engagement, at cspera@pit.edu.
